Reprotec Steelcoat is a high performance, water dispersible Epoxy coating for the treatment of steel. It is designed to be user and environmentally friendly, containing no solvents and being of a very low odour during application.
Reprotec Steelcoat may be easily applied by brush or roller to provide a durable, abrasion and chemically resistant coating of excellent integrity.
As a finish for steel in food factories, abattoirs, dairies, laboratories etc.
As a chemically resistant coating for steelwork in bund areas.
As an anti-graffiti coating.
As a hygienic, easily cleanable surface on most metallic surfaces, not recommended for galvanised steel.

Chemical resistance: excellent resistance to water, dilute acids, dilute alkalis, glycol ethers, dibasic ester solvent, skydrol, etc. Please consult our Technical Department for specific advice.
Reprotec Steelcoat is supplied in 5Ltr packs.
Suitable mechanical treatment, such as grit blasting,
Wire brushing etc is recommended to ensure a clean, uncontaminated substrate.
A primer coat of Reprotec Steelcoat Primer is recommended at all times.
Pour the contents of the BASE container into the CURING AGENT container and thoroughly mix, preferably by mechanical means (see website for suitable accessories) until a uniform colour is achieved.
The mixed material may be thinned by the addition of up to a maximum of 10% by volume of clean, potable water.
Apply by brush, roller at a nominal rate of 0.20 to 0.25kg/sq.m. per coat equivalent to a dry film thickness of 100-125 microns.
A minimum two coat treatment is recommended, applying subsequent coats after a minimum interval of 16 hours curing. Ensure good ventilation after application, as this speeds up the physical drying stage of the curing process.
Clean equipment with water prior to curing of the coating.
